Description

Hoveton Great Broad is a magical place, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the River Bure by alder trees swaying in the breeze, wild hops growing through the branches and mosses and lichens covering the ground like a velvet green cloak.  The air is full of the sounds of birds, the rustle of leaf on leaf, and the breeze tuning the reeds as it weaves its way through their golden rods.... You can tell we are not poets!  So here is a chance for those of you who are natural wordsmiths to create a poem to reflect the natural wonder of the Broads, and the feelings of well being the natural world has to offer.

Poems can be submitted through Direct Messaging on Twitter, or by attaching an image to a tweet. If you have an image you would like to submit alongside the poem please send too. Our twitter address is @Hoveton_Broad

A winning poem that reflects the unique nature of the Broads will be selected at the end of Friday the 22nd May.

The Winning poem will be published on the projects new website and a £50 voucher of the winners choosing awarded to the Poet!
