rb&hArts run the arts programme at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust across two hospital sites, Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea and Harefield Hospital in Uxbridge. We manage a permanent collection of artworks, temporary exhibitions, a music and performance programme, as well as commissioning integrated art and design throughout the trust.
Our staff, volunteers and musicians who normally work on the wards, have been working hard to create new opportunities to engage with patients, staff and the wider community through online services. Using creativity and the arts to support people is now more important than ever in helping people feel connected and reducing loneliness.

Vocal Beats Online
For Creativity & Wellbeing week we are relaunching our YouTube channel Vocal Beats Online, with a new exclusive video by our fabulous Vocal Beats ward musicians: Heather and Stac with beatboxers Bellatrix and MC Zani. Check out the channel and new song here
Vocal Beats Online is a channel for young people to learn new skills, have fun and develop better breathing techniques through singing and beatboxing. Vocal Beats Online has been co-designed by a group of young people with cystic fibrosis, our Youth Ambassadors, and rb&hArts, to help tackle loneliness in young people as part of the Co-op Foundation’s Building Connections Fund, a partnership with the Government to help reduce youth loneliness.
The channel includes tutorial videos of singing and beatboxing that young people can take part in, as well as videos of the Youth Ambassadors’ personal stories and experiences.
