Aaagarden is a London-based creative health and therapeutic horticulture practice exploring how gardening can become a shared, low-barrier space for emotional wellbeing and social connection.
Through simple, hands-on gardening activities, Aaagarden creates inclusive environments where people can participate without pressure on language, background, or experience. The work mainly engages non-native English speakers living in the UK, including migrants and international students, as well as individuals experiencing social isolation.
Alongside gardening-based workshops, Aaagarden develops participatory tools such as conversation cards, tactile O2O (offline-to-online) digital interaction programmes, and small zines. These tools support reflection, communication, and shared storytelling in multilingual group settings.
At its core, Aaagarden focuses on how small collective actions in everyday environments can foster mental wellbeing, informal networks, and a sense of belonging across cultural and linguistic differences.
