Arts Drop

Arts Drop is working with artists and cultural organisations to create arts activities and resources for vulnerable children to boost emotional wellbeing.

During lockdown, some of the most vulnerable children are not able to access online activities easily and don't have lots of arts resources at home.

That's why the arts charity the Creative Learning Guild have pioneered a different approach. Working with an arts and health specialist to we have linked with artists and cultural organisations to create a range of activities for children to do independently at home.

Over a thousand packs, each filled with a range of age-appropriate activities and resources have been sent out to vulnerable children across Calderdale in conjunction with social workers and community groups.

We have pioneered this innovative approach in Calderdale in West Yorkshire, with funding from the Arts Council Bridge Organisation - IVE, Community Foundation for Calderdale, and Open Minds - Calderdale Council.
