Covid-19 Response Projects 2020

Cut off from support, with limited or no access to the internet and basic learning resources, vulnerable children are experiencing the greatest impact on wellbeing and learning during school closures.

In response, Delight teamed up with Surrey Primary Schools and arts organisations, Paintbox and Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, to create two crisis response projects – Box of Delight and Bags of Delight – to help keep vulnerable children learning, supported and connected to school during this incredibly challenging time.

Each Box of Delight immerses isolated children in art-based learning activities, whilst Bags of Delight provides reading books to children with few, or no, books at home. Delivered directly to children by their schools, each Bag or Box of Delight feels like a personal gift and reminds them that they are not forgotten.
