Gravesham Arts and Culture

Gravesham is a place buzzing with creativity and home to a growing community of creatives and artists, events and activities, workshops and wonderful things to enjoy throughout the year. One of the South East’s most dynamic centres for the arts with the area’s riverside heritage, urban renewal and a diverse cultural landscape providing plenty of inspiration.

The Arts and Culture Team at Gravesham Borough Council produce a dynamic, vibrant, creative programme of work each year, including exhibitions, workshops, live music, performances, outdoor theatre, festivals and more..

We aim to support and develop artists and creatives, develop children and our young people creatively, provide a space for artists/creatives to connect and bring the community together through a diverse, innovative and accessible programme of events for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

We champion the value of the arts and the positive impact creativity can have on an individuals wellbeing. This is reflected through all we do, and we continue to develop activities such as our new programme of low-cost creative workshops for adults, 'Get creative', that concentrate on connection, community, learning, developing and having fun.
