Join us for a day of engagement on Wednesday 21 May with House of Memories as part of Dementia Action Week. On Dementia Action Day we will have co-creation experiences, interviews, and crafts for memories at the Museum of Liverpool.
10am till 1pm: Dementia Awareness Training for Health and Social Care Professionals.
This free museum-led training supports professionals in delivering person-centred care for those living with dementia. Please book your free place in advance at: www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/house-of-memories/dementia-awareness-training
10am till 3pm: On The Road: Creating Merseybeat Memories.
House of Memories On The Road’s touring immersive cinema invites the Liverpool community to share your memories of the Merseybeat era. For the first time, the people of Liverpool can contribute to the creation of a Merseybeat experience, which will be toured to care homes across the North West to support people living with dementia. If you would like to share your memories of Liverpool's 1960s music scene, come along to the House of Memories On The Road drop-in session at the Museum of Liverpool.
10am till 5pm: When I Was Little
When I Was Little is a free activity for children aged 3 to 7 and their families. Discover museum objects together and share stories and memories using a special activity backpack.
