Joanna Scott Arts

I’m a freelance  commercial illustration and participation specialist and have worked in community settings for twenty years. Through ARTS Education in Hemel Hempstead I worked with Druglink and Age Concern running drawing and art workshops. I’ve worked with Trestle Theatre on a number of projects including the current All About Us festival for the learning disabled in the district, where they get to create art and thoughts about their lives, their connections, likes and loves. Also Herts Hidden Heroines, which I was Lead Artist on, discovering and uncovering the forgotten heroines of Hertfordshire.

Through Herts Youth Service I worked with young mums and young people with disabilities. I ran workshops with New Hope Trust in Watford for twelve years or so ranging from crafts to issue led pieces of individual work.

I worked with schools across Wembley for the cultural olympiad in 2012.

Other projects include My Story with Herts Library Service, Cambridge Archive Project, @KingJohn1215 for St Albans Festival creative director on this installation of sound and light. Echo for SPID Theatre Company in Kensal Rise.
