Description

The recent pandemic, COVID-19, and the resulting restrictions has left many feeling unnerved. Whilst the impacts of the virus are universal, the experience of its consequences are highly unique to individuals. This project aims to capture individuality by using letter writing as a form of documentary.

The brief, which I invite you to respond to, is below.

You are writing a letter to a stranger to be opened in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic. You’re trying to describe what life during the pandemic was like in 2020: Where are you? Are you isolating? How has your day-to-day life changed? How do you feel about the way the media and government are responding? What have you observed? And how do you predict life after COVID-19 may change?

Any piece of writing is welcomed. Please handwrite and date your letter, scan
(preferable) or photograph and submit via www.lettersfromcovid.com

You are welcome to send a photograph summarising your isolation to accompany your letter.

Welcomed deadline: 20th May 2020.
