Live Music Performances at Southampton General Hospital

Southampton Hospitals Charity, in partnership with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, presents: ‘Excerpts from An English Song Winterreise’

Featuring renowned baritone Roderick Williams and accompanist Simon Gilliver on piano.

On Thursday 14 May, live performances will take place across Southampton General Hospital for patients, children, families, and staff members as part of Southampton Hospitals Charity’s ongoing commitment to arts, wellbeing and creative health.

Delivered through the Charity’s Arts Team, these performances aim to bring moments of calm, connection, and comfort into hospital spaces through the power of live music. From supporting emotional wellbeing to creating more uplifting healthcare environments, the arts play an important role in enhancing the hospital experience for patients, visitors, and NHS staff alike.
