Messy Connections

The launch party for Dr Cathy Sloan’s book, Messy Connections: Creating Atmospheres of Addiction Recovery Through Performance Practice, will take place at the University of West London Students’ Union on Tuesday, May 21, at 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. The event will be held in Freddie’s Bar, featuring music from Simon Mason (Hightown Pirates) and spoken word by Hannah Stanislaus (Lost Souls Events).

Dr Sloan will be discussing her book at the event. Messy Connections, published by Routledge, is a groundbreaking study on recovery arts, covering the theory, the practitioners, and the creation of the Addiction Recovery Arts (ARA) Network. The event is hosted by artist Leon Clowes and will be attended by recovery artists and cultural practitioners.
