Description

Mothership Writers is a groundbreaking creative writing programme for new mothers. First born in Bristol in the spring of 2019, the initial pilot course was supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Over 12 months, nearly sixty women - and their babies - met for fortnightly workshops led by novelist and Mothership founder Emylia Hall. Many hadn't written for years. Every single one had a story to tell. Together we've made an anthology, Dispatches from New Motherhood, an extraordinary collection of prose and poetry featuring 50 new voices; from late May, you'll be able to read every piece from the book on the pages of our website. And from the end of May we'll be starting a fortnightly newsletter full of creative inspiration, writing tips, and all the latest Mothership news including updates on new courses. Sign up online and come join our crew!
