Description

Everybody at some point will suffer from a terrible cough. For most people, the cough soon disappears, but for some it never does.

Immerse yourself in this eye-opening, powerful soundscape and walk in the shoes of those whose lives are deeply affected by this misunderstood condition, widely dismissed as ‘just a cough’.

Go on a fascinating journey into the mysteries of the human body and hear the real-life stories of people whose everyday experience is shaped and threatened by a physical reflex, that for most of us is a minor irritation.

Followed by a discussion with some of the people whose stories you will hear, to raise awareness and understanding of chronic cough, and maybe change your perspective too.

Presented by SICK Festival at North City Library, Manchester on Saturday 25th May at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Places are limited, book here.

One in Ten was created by the participants and collaborators of Let’s Talk About Cough. Let’s Talk About Cough is led by the University of Manchester and Imperial College in collaboration with Vocal and funded by Wellcome.
