RICAMI Embroidery

RICAMI is a series of small, community-based workshops for mothers with young babies, exploring how simple creative practices can support wellbeing, connection, and emotional expression.

The sessions use embroidery as a low-pressure, hands-on activity that allows participants to gather, share space, and engage at their own pace, whether through conversation or quiet making.

The project responds to experiences of isolation and emotional strain in the perinatal period, offering an informal and supportive environment outside of clinical settings.

RICAMI is currently being piloted in East London, with sessions hosted at the John Smith Centre and in community settings.
