Somerset Wellbeing Orchestra

Somerset Wellbeing Orchestra is a programme that invites participants to come and create music in a welcoming environment.

Led by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO), the group explore instruments, learn new musical skills and work together to form a creative musical ensemble that reflects the group and its members. It is aimed at adults who have reported mental health challenges or would like extra support, and participants are referred into the project by partners ARK at Egwood and WATCH Project Chard.

This wellbeing orchestra is participant focussed and led, developing the participants’ musical skills and melodic ideas, enabling the process of creative music making.

Somerset Wellbeing Orchestra is run in partnership between The Octagon Theatre Yeovil, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, WATCH Project Chard and ARK at Egwood.
