Tending to the Heap

Join PhD student Jenny Maxwell for a workshop exploring 'heap-work'

'Heap-work' is what Jenny calls the entanglement of life and research. Jenny's 'heap-work' is a practice-research-creation-story that draws on personal narrative and observation to create text, collage, sound and film work.

Heap-work is (as Kate Loveless might say): "polydisciplinamorous" - it seeps and seeks to break down separation. Boundless and boundaryless - it is always on the move and always on its way to someplace else... It is work that is always searching for a sense belonging, in a world that won't stay still.

But how can we hold a heap? How can we tend to the heap with care and allow it to care for us? How can we keep safe in the heap?
