The Exchange Theatre

Situated within the grounds of a stunning Grade II listed building in North Tyneside, The Exchange is an inclusive venue, always with a smile on its face, which offers friendly service and excellent facilities. As a registered charity, we support arts and culture and by creating an inspirational environment, where skills and knowledge can grow. We actively engage with artists to help them develop and stay connected.

We host high quality shows for the locality and beyond at affordable prices in our auditorium, including theatre, music and special events and smaller free events in our public bar. There is a range of classes and workshops on offer to get involved with. Our welcoming rooms, Gallery space (roped-off area), Thomas Brown Room and Auditorium can be hired for training courses, conferences, meetings and more, with catering packages

In everything, we do it is about our local community first – engaging and providing a better life for those that live or work in North Tyneside.

We will support all of the creative companies who work with us, by providing an inspirational environment in which they can work and network to expand their skills and knowledge.
