The Hera Project

The HERA Project - Healing, Expressive and Recovery Arts - is offered by the Robin Hood Health Foundation, a registered charity.  HERA offers a free programme of artist-led creative activities to adults with long-term physical and mental health conditions living in the community. People are referred to our creative sessions by GPs, social prescribers and other healthcare professionals, the community network in Brighton and Hove and they can self-refer.

We offer Singing for Better Health, Dance for Wellbeing, Art for Relaxation and Photo Walks to all, and Art for Belonging and an outreach programme for the global majority.

Creative activities take place within GP surgeries, creative/community venues and online for the housebound.

We advocate for Creative Health: teaching at Brighton and Sussex Medical School to the next generation of doctors and Allied Health Professionals, supporting work in other areas to grow Creative Health and presenting our model at conferences and webinars.
