Join Dulcie Alexander for a conversation through a career in creative health and community-led multi-artform practice exploring questions such as how it can and can’t work; who is it for; what this work looks like; how it evolves and morphs.
Dulcie will share how a professional life can lead to study and relevance, making sense of the personal impact it may have at times.
The conversation will aim to aid students and those looking to progress a professional career in the arts, specifically related to creative health and community-led practice. It will explore what can be hard - and what can be surprisingly easy when the conditions are right.
Dulcie Alexander (she/her) is Relationship Manager, Arts Council England, following a career in children and young people’s theatres, local authority and youth music projects, Arts Council England and seconded to the NHS/National Association of Social Prescribing as programme manager for a national Thriving Communities Fund.
Dulcie is now undertaking a PhD with Hoxton Creative Health Hub and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama exploring the use of creative technologies in community contexts.
