Description

Safe faecal sludge management is hugely important for global health. Faecal sludge is rich in water, nutrients and organic compounds, but often this ‘brown gold’ remains hidden in the sludge. Inclusive Arts approaches can be used to promote brown gold resource recovery, and as a research tool to collaborate with, listen to, and influence sanitation stakeholders. This recently released policy brief gives some examples of this from an interdisciplinary action research project in Nepal.
