Spun Glass Theatre

Spun Glass Theatre are an award-winning theatre company that blends groundbreaking theatre-making with parent and baby wellbeing.

They believe that performing arts and creativity is vital to a child’s cognitive, social and emotional development and in building shared experiences between parent and child. The arts provide a forum for creativity, freedom and exploration unlike anything else.

Spun Glass Theatre run weekly workshops for parents, babies and toddlers, where attendees explore different themes together through sensory activities, music, movement and visiting live performance artists in an open and relaxing environment. Affordability and accessibility are of high importance, and free workshop spaces are offered to parents on Universal Credit, parents under 25, and single parents.

Spun Glass Theatre have also just opened its new theatre space for babies and children. The Mini Playhouse in Hastings runs affordable creative workshops, events and shows at Mini Playhouse, where young children can experience music, puppetry, live performances, and storytelling - often for the first time. Parents in turn can relax in a safe, judgement-free environment where crying, feeding, and everything else in between are expected and welcomed.
