Event Details

The National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH) in partnership with NHS England has launched an online Creative Health Toolkit. The toolkit aims to support systems to work with their communities and to develop their own approach to Creative Health strategies. It focuses on Creative Health in three areas: In Systems; In Context; and In Action. Embedding the benefits of creativity in all health and social care systems, from integrated care system planning to delivery by grass roots organisations, the toolkit will support commissioners, link workers and the voluntary community social enterprise sector to work collaboratively and deliver better health outcomes for communities and individuals. The toolkit considers the enablers and barriers and is structured so as to illustrate how systems can deliver against the forthcoming NHS England Maturity Matrix for Social Prescribing, with reference to five domains: Leadership, Strategy and Governance; Planning and Commissioning; Workforce Development; Digital and Technology; and Evidence and Impact.

The toolkit has been developed in partnership with NHS England Personalised Care Team and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) in Gloucestershire; Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin; Suffolk and North East Essex; and West Yorkshire, as a tool to support other ICSs to embed creative health in their systems. The toolkit includes short illustrative examples, drawn from these four systems but also from other places around England. The toolkit aims to be iterative and it welcomes suggestions of examples which might be of interest to other systems.

In this free online event hear from Alex Coulter from the National Centre for Creative Health about the toolkit and its impact.
