Clay and cuppa

We have been running Clay and Cuppa sessions for the last 5 years at the London School of Mosaic, providing a much needed respite for elderly carers who look after a family member at home. As we know, being an unpaid carer for a loved one can be a gruelling task and we are pleased that our weekly sessions with clay do something to alleviate this.

The participants look forward all week to joining the class, sharing time with other carers during 2 hours of mindful making with clay.

During the pandemic we did not risk any kind of meeting but sent out packages of air drying clay and paint to those participants who wanted to carry on making in the safety of their homes.

The company of understanding people who are in a similar situation as well as the clay handling experience itself has been of life-changing value to participants and many of them have said that the Clay and Cuppa sessions are the highlight of their week.
