Creative Prompt: Genevieve Rudd invites you to ‘think like a dandelion’

Have you ever wondered …what a dandelion might be thinking? …what it might be witness to? …what it might be feeling?

Today, I’d like you to offer you an invitation to think like a dandelion!

*When you discover a patch of their sunny yellow heads bobbing in the wind, or notice their fluffy seeded pom-poms, take a moment to stop.

*Imagine yourself as that dandelion. Imagine you are looking up from the crevice in the pavement. What can you see? What do you think of your environment? What do you think of the visitor stopping to look at you?!

*If you have more time to ponder, write down these ideas or make notes on your phone. For example, you could start a sentence with “I’m a dandelion and I… think / feel / see / like / don’t like… etc”

Access to nature doesn’t just mean visiting managed vast landscapes. You don’t need any special gear or access to transport to connect with nature in your local area.
